Who doesn't love tools?

I had to write about this since I was so excited! (It's almost sad the things that make me happy!) When my husband got out of the Army last year somehow our orbital sander decided to re-enlist and didn't make the journey to PA with us. He was always taking his tools to work. So in my never ending effort of doing things on the cheap I figured I would check craigslist before going and buying a new one. It isn't something we use a lot, although I see that changing, but it's something we want to have around in case we need it. Well for $25 this is what we got....
One Craftsman Orbital Sander. One Rodac Impact Wrench and one set of Drill Master Cordeless Sander, Cordless Jigsaw, flashlight and charger. Not too shabby!

Our Story.

Never in my life did I think I would have 3 daughters. THREE. God had far bigger plans for us than I could have ever imagined! I also never thought I would marry anyone in the military but yet I spent 2 years in Fayetteville, North Carolina waiting for my husband to get out of the Army. We live and learn!
A little about us-I am a SAHM (stay-at-home-mom.) I love being with my kids everyday. They are such a joy. Last year we moved to Pennsylvania to be close to my family so we could have some help with the kids. In the beginning of our journey as a family of 5 we could not have done it without help. We have come a long way thought that that is good because I am on my own a lot these days! My husband just recently took a job that has him working 3rd shift, 6 days a week and he is driving around 3 hours round trip to get to and from work. So when he is home most of his time is spent sleeping. Our oldest daughter is 2. Aleena amazes me everyday. She has QUITE the personality. She LOVES flashcards, animals, reading books, and playing in her kitchen(and mine too!) She is a BIG helper when it comes to the twins. The twins are about to turn 1 in a couple weeks and I am completely baffled as to where the time has gone! The first few months I was in a fog and just trying to get through each day as it came. Now I am able to take some time and enjoy my kids. Lily and Maggie were preemies but are making up for those 7 weeks. They are faster crawlers than Aleena ever was and are really starting to interact with us and each other. They will crack up just sitting and looking at each other. I would love to know what is going on in their little minds.

I wanted to write this blog mainly to record some of my thoughts and projects but I figured that if I can share something that may help someone else I would love to do that too!! With only one of us working (daycare would be astronomical for all 3 kids!) I spend a good portion of my time finding ways to save us some money and learning to do things myself to save us some money. Lucky for me being creative with cooking, baking and various craft projects is a really good outlet for my stress and feelings of sometimes needing to be more than just a mom. I will share various things that are going on here with you- you can learn learn all about life with our beautiful kids and hopefully pick up some useful hints along the way. I have many projects coming up since Christmas is coming and I am determined to make most of our Christmas gifts this year. I also have a headboard waiting to be refinished! My husband picked it up today. I got the headboard and the bed frame for $25! That should be an interesting project and I will take lots of pictures to share!
